Todd Mclellen
Todd was born and raised in Saskatchewan but now calls Toronto, Canada home where he is a member of the Sugino Studio
team and specializes in automotive, commercial and conceptual work. His latest series explores the deconstructed beauty of
gadgets. Todd methodically takes apart each device and lines up every individual piece for his shoot. Amongst his most
incredible photographs are of all of the components suspended mid-air, somehow frozen in time.

I like this photo as i like Todd McClellan's Style with the layout of all the objects. the use of the circles in the top left all
together in a 'collection'. I also like this idea as its a camera and the photo is taken on a camera. The use of a middle shot or
'birds eye view' shot shows all of the camera parts in different parts of the shot. the background is a creamy type color
which shows all of the parts of the camera clearly.

I like this photo as well as it shows a mobile phone broken down and split apart across the photo. i like this photo as its
organized into separate phones showing all different parts and whats inside. its the same mid shot which i like as it captures all
of the small parts and big parts to stand out. the background also helps see all the colors which stands out.

Some photos I like
I really like this photo as it shows different type of breads from the biggest to the smallest. the blue bright background helps bring out the vibrant brown golden glazed colors of the bread
Emily Blincoe
Emily was born and raised in austin, texas. she find inspiration in faces, new places, shapes, colors, light and quiet little moments.
This is her 'sugar series' where she has a number of photo where Emily gets different sized sweets and makes collections with
them making sure they are all the same colour and in a square shape. Blincoe's work is aesthetically pleasing in the way the
colours match with each other and how they are placed.

I really like this photo as it shows different colour of chewing gum. i really like thiis as its the style i want to do so i take alot of inspiration from this photot
This photo is like the other photo but with peppars, i really like the contrast of colours and the different shapes and sizes of the peppers.
Shoot 1
For shoot Number one i want to do what Emily Blincoe did with the colors going from light to dark or juts put all the same
colors together, for this i will need a piece of paper for the background, but i cant use the same color background if i have that
color sweet for example if i have a blue sweet i cant have a blue background. im thinking of maybe using a blue background
but using haribo gummy bears as they are the easiest to collect out of the haribo pack, if not i will use the love heart cola
bottles and eggs for my shoot.

I really like this image because of the color palette pink on pink and the way they are in order makes it look amazing. one downfall of this
would be that ring on the bottom right as its inverted colors |
this one is my worst as its of centered and I don't like the eggs and the rings on the bottom and the top as the white doesn't really fit in with the background.
|
You can really see the difference in them, I cropped the picture and made the sweets centred which makes the picture a lot like the gummy bear ones
Best... |
Worst... |
This is the best as there is no sunlight shining on the paper as
I took it from a different angle. I really like it as it captures all the colours from a different angle |
This is the worst as its too light and makes the picture look fuzzy. also the sunlight is shining on the top of the paper

Final Product
Shoot 3
For my fourth shoot will be some discs all together from my play station as it is a collection or it may be my PS controller surrounded by accessories for my play station
